PRIMA's 2026 Annual Conference: A Recap for Public Sector Risk Managers

The Public Risk Management Association (PRIMA) held its 2026 Annual Conference June 7-10 at the Broward  County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, drawing more than 1,000 attendees from public risk  management, insurance coordination, regulatory compliance, and government operations.

The conference is built for risk managers, financial directors, HR leaders, and legal advisors working in  municipal, state, and school system settings, an audience that includes many of the risk and claims professionals  who manage workers' compensation programs for public employers.

Educational sessions ranged from risk management fundamentals to more advanced and emerging topics,  delivered in a mix of 30-minute, 60-minute, and 75-minute formats to fit different schedules.

For public sector employers and risk managers who couldn't attend, PRIMA's ongoing programming and state level chapter events offer similar content throughout the year.
