National Survey Results: What Matters Most in Selecting Physicians for Injured Employees

In August 2024, OM began a national study to identify what matters most when selecting physicians to treat injured employees and provide the best possible care.

To date, we have surveyed over 1,000 workers’ compensation professionals, including adjusters, case managers, employers, risk managers, attorneys, and others directly involved in managing workplace injuries.

The purpose of this study is to gather measurable feedback that will guide how we continue to strengthen our WorkCompReady™ Certification, first introduced in 2010, and to establish the criteria for our upcoming Center of Excellence (COE) designation for practices treating injured workers.

This survey is ongoing, and feedback continues to be collected. Broad participation ensures that the results accurately represent the perspectives of all groups involved in workers’ compensation, including adjusters, case managers, employers, risk managers, attorneys, physicians, and others responsible for the care and management of injured workers.

If you would like to contribute to this study, please email us at help@ommktg.com to receive the survey link.

By continuing to gather this data, we are working to ensure that OM’s WorkCompReady™ Certification and the upcoming COE designation set the highest administrative standards, with patient care always at the top. Our goal is to make sure injured workers receive the best care possible while practices are fully aligned with the requirements of workers’ compensation.

Responses were reviewed, organized, and tallied by OM, and the results are shown as percentages to reflect the most frequently identified priorities. These are not OM’s own statements, but the collective feedback from the professionals surveyed.
