Daniel S. Husted, MD is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon and Partner of South Florida Orthopedics & Sports Medicine. Dr. Husted earned his Medical Degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, Florida. He completed his Surgical Internship and Orthopedic Residency at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. Dr. Husted completed a Spine Surgery Fellowship at SpineCare, San Francisco Spine Institute in San Francisco, California.

Dr. Husted has been practicing spine surgery and general orthopaedics since joining South Florida Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine in 2006. He dedicates his practice to patients with spine-related problems and pursues non-surgical treatments, when indicated, before considering surgery. Dr. Husted’s surgical expertise results in less surgical time and smaller incisions which can lead to better recovery time for his patients.

Dr. Husted is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a member of the North American Spine Society. His research is published in several peer-reviewed journals.
